Hear directly from college admissions professionals: John Leiner of the University of Arizona and Linda M. Dannemiller of the University of Nevada, Reno. Both universities receive a large number of applicants from our area, and both are top-tier research universities (R1) according to the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

Furthermore, as members of the Regional Admission Counselors of California (RACC), they will share insights into what truly matters in the application process for any top research university—helping you become an informed and strategic applicant for 2027.

While they both currently represent out-of-state public universities, they bring broad experience working with private colleges/universities and high schools, offering a well-rounded perspective on how college admission decisions are made!
